My First Year: The Anthology is an original Sophia Media podcast series that explores the human experience through deeply personal and reflective conversations about the first year of many major life transitions.

Whether you’re becoming a parent, starting college or a new profession, moving to a new country, entering or leaving a major relationship, life transitions can feel isolating and disorienting. Each “My First Year” show provides an intimate safe space for our guests and listeners alike to pause and reflect on these pivotal moments. Through vulnerable, embodied conversations, guests don’t just describe what happened – they sit with their emotions, key memories, and articulate the shifts in how they see themselves and the world.

My First Year exists to heal through embodied story-telling. When we feel a visceral connection in our bodies to someone else’s story, we realize we’re not alone. That recognition – that our experiences echo in others – is where healing and growth begin.
